I am an English Teacher at an SEMH secondary school. My resources cover a wide range of key stages and abilities to cater for the complex needs of my students. Often my resources will be designed to appeal to older students with a lower ability content, but they still work well for younger students also. I have a big interest in Phonics, low ability resources with a high interest level for older students, creating useful displays and making stickers to aid in my marking.

Look Say Cover Write Check adhesive labels printable with visual cues. 14 labels per page designed to print on Avery J8163 self adhesive labels or similar. Download includes versions both with and without gridlines. The lined version is useful to print on paper for cutting and sticking, whereas the non-lined version is great for printing directly onto adhesive label paper. Useful for reminders in exercise books and as a time saving marking aid. Co-ordinates with free poster and book labels both available from my shop.

Useful label printable for students to check their work independently. 14 labels per page, designed to fit on the Avery J8163 adhesive labels or similar. Download comes with or without gridlines. The gridlines version is useful if you want to print onto paper, cut and stick onto student work, whereas the no gridlines version is great for if you want to print directly onto adhesive labels. I regularly use these with my secondary age SEMH students as it helps focus their work, and they begin to learn to self check before submitting for marking.

Dates Days Months Display for Whiteboard with Sound Buttons

Dates, Days of the Week, Months and Years with Sound Buttons or spelling techniques. Cut up and laminate. I blu tac these to a wall or a door and stick onto the whiteboard each day. Useful to help my students write the date in their books. Where sound buttons are not useful I have included an alternative spelling technique.

Shakespearean Insults Display Shakespeare

A set of twenty four Shakespearean insults with the play citation. Not seen on the preview, but on the mock up of a display board: they are presented with aged paper as a background and the pack includes a Shakespearean Insults header page. I have found them to be a really useful way of engaging students with Shakespeare. My students had lots of fun using Shakespeare quotes to insult eachother and me (in a light hearted way of course!) I would suggest cutting the insults into individual strips for your display. Lookout for my Shakespeare Display Bundle and save money by buying the facts and phrases display at the same time.
